What sustainability is to us

Sustainability, in its truth, is the production of an item without depletion of environmental resources in any aspects of its processes of manufacture. As a company who champions integrity and honesty, we refuse to 'greenwash' and therefore we can not wholeheartedly state that we are presently in all aspects sustainable. We advocate a movement towards a more conscious lifestyle culture with transparency of provenance of materials to enable informed decisions of purchases. We feel this is fundamental in all aspects of manufacture, particularly the unseen structure which is as important, if not more so, as its finishes to create pieces with integrity. With the provenance of components being so fundamental to our manufacture, we endeavour, where possible, to use certified, organic and natural resources from suppliers committed to working in harmony with nature. Our carbon footprint is taken into consideration and, whilst our natural materials are not all British-made, our locality of English workshops is fundamental in ensuring the least distance the product has to travel to be worked on and distributed. We are taking strides to make internationally, initially in the United States, to ensure that we keep our promise to the environment to lessen our shipping footprint.
