Ensemblier Atelier

Whilst all Ensemblier pieces are customisable, we also offer our clients a consultative service to realise individual commissions, these draw on Tara’s knowledge of history & design. The service offers the advantage of the knowledge that your pieces will be made in locally located artisan workshops of master craftsman and using the highest level of craftsmanship and quality of materials.

The Process

We will discuss your requirements with you in detail. We will analyse the references you have, whether drawings or photographs, and your project budget to discern the best possible way forward in materials, construction and workshops.  

A formal provisional quotation will be sent within 10 days, being in nature entirely bespoke, a contingency is also submitted, and factored into this estimate.

Once the budgeted has been approved, we ask for a small design fee to provide detailed scale drawings.

With the final drawings having been approved, we ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to commence the production.

We will regularly keep you up to date with elements of the production process, and may at times need to consult with you regarding the details of the design, as the piece develops.

Four weeks before your commission is completed, we request the balance of the invoice.   We will also provide shipping quotes at this point.  Often we will have agreed additional costs or savings during the course of the project, which will be reflected in the final balance.

Generally bespoke commissions vary between 16 - 20 weeks.
